Qahwa Championship
In view of its central role in the region, the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi established the Gahwa Championships in the UAE capital in December 2019. Building on the success of its Bait Al Gahwa initiative, which aims to document and protect Gahwa as an essential element of Emirati culture. Every human sense we have is affected by a great cup of coffee. From bean selection and roasting to the coffee preparation and serving, we can feel every step along its making process. We can observe the color, smell the scent, and hear the roasting sound We can taste the flavor and feel its warmth. So when coffee is around, it’s easy to recognize its existence. It’s easy to feel sentimental toward it, because of how it connects with your basic senses, triggering a sense of tranquility and inner satisfaction. The Art Direction is based on incorporating the coffee making elements in an overlapping theme to reflect the harmonious blend between the tools and ingredients to create the end product and hero element of a delicious Cup of Coffee.
